I'm embarrassed to say that I only recently tried running this suit with dual sidearms. I've tried two SMGs in the past but now I think the SP and SMG might be my best setup. The burst SP gets more of a clip bonus and the SMG benefits the most so I feel I've utilized the racial bonus of the suit. I've also slapped on a complex sidearm damage mod and now both of my weapons get the effect. I'm surprised at how much success I've had using this suit as a close/mid range sweeper.
I see a lot of threads about people ripping on this suit so if you have not yet tried this tactic I suggest you give it a shot. I wouldn't want CCP to listen to anyone and change the suit and ruin my fun |

I have done both of those as well. The ability to stack damage mods helps both of these roles drastically. Also the secondary bonus helps for both of these as well. Always nice to not feel defenseless with a SL knowing you have a powerful sidearm available |

Dual SMG's are good but only against noobs, really hard to take down vets running proto gear.
Depending on the map I've had some success against high end opponents but it is only when I use ishukone. This is unfortunately extremely expensive for me so I guess I'd have to agree with you on the vets. |

Two clip bonuses on top of each other, the low Isk & fitting cost, and the sheer destructive power of the top tier Pistols makes them a devastating addition to the Minmatar assault. People underestimate them because they try the low ROF, low clip size standard Pistols and don't enjoy them.
The only thing that sucks about the standard pistols is the minmatar bonus is added before the SP skill bonus is so you only get a 25% to the original clip before the skill adds another 5 rounds. I agree completely though about the SPs, once I started giving them a chance I've noticed they can be completely life saving in the most helpless situations. |

It really should apply to total sidearm clip size and ammo capacity. I agree completely |
